Can anybody advise me on which model is better, zxx or gph 346.
Don't know if I can say which is better. They both have their good
and bad points. I have the GPH and am very pleased with it.
It is slightly bigger in size and therfore more stable with the larger
blades. It has metal frames and all ball bearings. It is capable of
more than my skills can controll. I have the TT46 (touchy carb) and
Hatori muffler. I have run about 4 gallons of fuel through it and has
required minimum maintainance. I have not ordered parts or priced the
parts so far but I think it will be comparable to the ZXX. It is a
great flyer and I love it and you can't beat it with a price tag of
$479. Good luck.
I have both, and like them both. I understand that the 346 is more of a
Hot Dog Machine than the Shuttle, but of course that dependes on how you
Bottom Line...and I have read this many times in the last few weeks.
My hobby shop stocks parts for the shuttle but does not for the 346. Some
parts are the same, but most parts are different.
I would check with your local hobby shop or parts supplier for the
availability of spare/replacement parts. This could help to swing you one
way or the other. Mail Order is always an option, but if I crash, I don't
want to wait very long to get the bird back in the air.
I can always fly the shuttle if I crash the 346 or the other way around,
but if I had to have one machine, I would choose the one that I could get
the most help with and that had the best parts availability.
Just my opinion.

The GPH costs a bit more, but they're both good helicopters.
