On the one hand,I have available for sale,or will swap for
books, tubes, nos caps, etc.,quite a large number of National Radio
Institute Communications course booklets,dated 1940's-1950's.

On the other hand,I am looking to complete an NRI radio repair(not
communications) course  which is missing a few booklets and the
instruction maual that shows how to assemble and test the NRI radio.
The  booklets/manual I  am looking for  would be late 1930's to early
1950's vintage. Will purchase at reasonable price.
AS an alternative,I can swap copies of test equipment schematics for
the booklets I seek,if that is of interest to anybody out there. These
schematics are of test equipment popular in the 1960's.Please e-mail
me if interested.

I just found a bargain in an old barn in the mountains.  I do not know what I
have, nor do I know where to start looking for information regarding repair
(refurbishment) of the piece.  Can you get a newbie started?  The cabinet looks
like mahogany veneer.  The the "Victrola" turntable slides out and accomodates
10" and 12" records.  The radio occupies the other half of the cabinet.  The
RCA Victor radio has push buttons above the dial face.  Los Angeles stations
popular on AM in the 30's, 40's, and 50's are indicated as favorites.  The
wiring looks about circa 1945-1955.  I have never attempted refurbishing
electronics before and do not even know where to look for make and model
numbers.  RCA Victor decals are worth preserving.  I would like to rebuild it.
Can you help?
