Toe-in problem with Tamiya SVT F-150

Post by Proost » Sun, 31 Dec 2000 00:06:35

Hi..my son and I just put this truck together.  Now that I look at the front
end, I notice that the left front wheel toes in a bit.  The odd thing is that
there doesn't appear to be any ability to adjust the tie rod to pull it in.
Has anyone experienced the same problem.  My kit is the Tamiya SVT Ford 150
Lightning.

This is our first car and although we're newbies, we were about as exacting as
possible.  I've poured over the building instructions and can't figure it out.

A small amount of front toe-in (note that you can't have just one front
wheel toed-in - that just means your steering's not straight!) is normal.

Many entry-level kits have non-adjustable toe links because a) they're
cheaper and b) it's one less thing to get wrong during build.
