I just got my TGX. I just wonder how it performs compared with Super 10,
so I can decide whether it is worth spending more money for option parts.

the engine is a GS15R - which kyosho love to promote (The GS Range)
FW-04 has a tuned pipe - will be faster and quicker
FW-04 has 100cc tank - this is massive for a 10th scale and out of place on
a racer
FW-04 comes as standard with an aftermarket air filter
FW-04 has 34mm slicks either that or 36mm - as opposed to 36mm radials on
the TGX
FW-04 has quick release body mounts - a real time saver
FW-04 comes with super expensive dampers (60+10+10= $110+)
both are built solidly - seen a certain person in this group bounce their
TGX off of everything!
both have adjustable camber rods
TGX bodys cost more as they have to come from someone who makes the funny
sized tamiya 1/8th scale shell
FW-04 is lighter i would imagine being 10th scale as opposed to 1/8th scale
FW-04 is the littlest bit more expensive
FW-04
they are both good but for racing as the above obviously shows and that
kyosho 2 speed ratios are greater than tamiyas - TGX would go faster is
hopped up e.g. tuned pipe the first thing.

The model number is 44015, as it says on the release note, it comes with 14
hop up parts already. Since I dont know what is included in a regular TGX
kit so I cant tell really which are the hop ups ?! As far as I know ....
Included hop ups
1. Aluminum Engine mount
2. Aluminum light weight fly wheel
3. All corners super low fiction dampers
4. Anti-roll bar
5. Super slicks tires
6. Front foam bumper (That grey thingy, i dont know what its call)
7. 2 speed transmission
8. FULL ball bearings, no plastic bushing at all
9. Rear ball differenial
10. Front one-way differenial unit
11. 3 sets of springs (red, yellow and blue)
12. Aluminum lower deck
I dont know what the other two are ?! but I think the coolest thing is you
have the special TRF stickers. The kit doesnt come with an engine nor a
body. Thats why I did some research and I found the December 1999 release of
Tamiya TGX kit with Novarossi engine, check this link
http://www.tamiya.com/english/news/news9912/news3.htm
So I decided to get the TGX TRF kit for CDN$490
I bought the Novarossi engine separately for CDN$240
I also bought the body (Nissan skyline GTR) for CDN$80
There is no fan in the kit whatsoever but the TGX TRF is the Tamiya Racing
Factory limited edition verion
I am going to put everything about this TRF on my website
http://24.112.2.39/typeTRF soon.
