Pro-Peak AC/DC 'Varipulse' Charger, any good?

I have just dug an old radio controlled car out of the loft and am in the
process of getting it working again. I bought some new 2400 mAh batteries
and a new charger (quite cheap) for it, unfortunately after getting home I
found the charger would take about 24hours to charge the batteries (little
longer than the 25mins my old one used to take on the old 1200mAh). So I am
now looking for another charger that hopefully won't take as long. Does
anyone know if the "Pro-Peak AC/DC 'Varipulse'" charger is any good? And
approx how long it would take to charge a 2400mAh pack?

Cheers Gav

I have a Pro Peak Varipulse charger,it can trickle and fast charge ni-cads
and ni-mhs. I find it a very good charger, it will fast charge a battery in
less than an hour, depends on your battery.Or you can trickle charge in
about 15 hours.
