### Cell specs

We all run Trinity matched cells in our XXs, and all the cells are labeled
with various stats on the performance of the cells.  Which numbers are key
to their performance?  Run time is obvious, but what else?  Discharge
rate?  Impedance?  In essence, what makes a killer cell a killer cell?

Two rules for dealing with cells:

1. ignore the matcher's figures. the only way to tell the real
story is to test the cells yourself. the amount of cells manufactuers
sells is down to the figures they "claim". Thus introducing the term
"stretching":). See rule 2, listening to the original manufacturer.

2. sanyo don't churn out cells who's capacity varies by 30%. see rule 1,
ignoring the matcher :)

I'm assuming that you're racing off-road, where runtime is usually not a
problem, so by killer pack you mean: "Getting raw power out of the pack
fast, or punch".

The average voltage rating is pretty important in terms of punch.  If 2
cells are discharged at the same rate, the one with a higher average
voltage will give you more punch.  The higher the load (discharge rate)

for the same cells.

Another spec to look at is the capacity vs. run time.  Take the capacity,
divide by the runtime (assuming constant discharge rate).  This will
give you the amount of energy the pack provides per second.  The higher
the rating the more punch you get.

1.3-1.8 volts on 20 amp discharge?!?!? you only get 1.14-1.15 on a
good pack at 20amps. maybe you missed a "1" somewhere:)
