Hi Cat,
well, the strangest coincidences happen on the net...   I had never
heard of this design before, but ran into one last week on the web and
was fascinated. This place sells pattern packs for many lantern styles,
and one is "The traditional star lantern" also known as the "Moravian
star."

IMHO, making the design from scratch would not be too difficult, but,
then, I always did like geometry.
hope this helps, --S.B.

I would really like to make a stained glass (copperfoil) lamp like some
Morroccan (sp?) ones I have seen - basically a 3 dimensional star - but
have no idea where I would go about getting hold of a pattern.  It's
pretty complicated, so I don't fancy my chances of just drawing it out
myself.  It is clear glass and must have over 24 pyramid shapes without
bases all joined together with a space in the middle for the light bulb.
Does this ring any bells with anyone - anyone know of such a
pattern exisiting anywhere? or if I did attempt it myself, what sort of
a fitting I would need at the top for the bulb and wire to feed
through/hold it in place?

Any help/advice gratefully received,
Cat
