GLASS REPAIR HELP

Post by Stuart Josep » Tue, 26 Nov 1996 04:00:00

Happy Thanksgiving!
I am hoping someone in this NG can help me out.
I am looking to get back into repairing antique glass and crystal-grinding chips out
of goblets, etc.

Can anyone point me in the direction of where to get supplies and how to go about it?
I used to do it a number of years ago, but I got rid of the equipment and I can't
remember what I used for grinding, polishing, and so on.

I tried to contact Beacon Engineering, which made my grinders, but they seem to have
gone out of business.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

GLASS REPAIR HELP

I know that Denver Glass Equipment sells the glass lathe and the also sell
beveling equipment. Their number is  (303) 781-0980.  They sell abrasives
as well and if there is anything they don't sell, I'm sure they can tell
you who does.
I'm in stained glass and would like to branch into beveling someday.  I
hope you find what you need. Good luck.
