Tif. Lamp Project: How many hours to do ?

How many hours do you think it would take to
do a  400 piece Tiffany-style lampshade ? I
really, really want to do one. I am of medium
skill level, although I've been doing glass
for 6 years now.

Maybe I'll just order the pattern/form and
drool over it...I have a bandsaw, but I actually
prefer the old-fashioned method because it's
faster ! I have the Diamond 4000, and have not
attempted multiple pieces at once.

I have a samll apt. and must pack everything
away if I have guests over and need to use the
dining area...any thoughts on whether I should
attempt a lamp with this in mind ? I plan on
using the Odessey system...

personally i do about 7 to 12 pieces an hour (start to finish). when i
made my lamp, my own design, mold, pattern, etc.: with the shade and the
base combined it was 2380 pieces and it took me a total of 263 hours to
complete it.

with the odessey system, as long as you use tacky wax or the simaler,
the pieces should stay on reasonably well, and if you want you can tack
the pieces together to keep them in one whole hunk, so when your little
cousin jonny comes to visit, he does'nt play jig saw with your lamp. :)
