Hi there! My name's Matt Levie and I'm just getting started in stained
glass--so far mostly suncatchers and mirrors. I'd like to do some picture
frames, but I'm wondering where people get the supplies for the back--the
brackets for the corners and that velvet-covered cardboard with the
piece jutting out that makes the frame stand up. Can they be bought?
Where?

Thanks for your help...

I got mine at Delphi Stained Glass.  They are at
www.voyager.net/delphiglass

I paid between 2.25 and 3.00 for sizes ranging between 4X6 and 8X10.

well, the fuzzy things (i think) can be bought at Delphi glass, which is
somewhere on the web.  however instead of that try using this: get three
lengths of brass came, and place them on the back of the glass (along
the seams) like a 'U'. then use another piece of glass (foiled, or
ground well), and slip it in between the glass and the metal (this would
be your back.  as for the stand use either thick wire bent like a square
U or use glass angles soldered in place.
