Virtual Stroll Through "Moving Forward"

Dear Friends of the NPCG,

We've got just the thing for a cold winter's day: take a virtual stroll
through the NPCG's recent juried exhibition, Moving Forward!

Thanks to photographers Wilma Yost and Jody Bishel -- and scanmeister
Georgia Sargeant -- we've got two whole pages of images from the show.

Works to drool over include the award winning pieces by Nancy Banks,
Kathleen Dustin, Janet Farris and Sharon Klevay; plus entries from Lindly
Haunani, Bonnie Bishoff and J. M. Styron, Diane Dunville, Ruth Ross, Linda
Gertsch, Nan Roche, Roz Tansman, Olivia Ash Turner, Christine Brashers, Jean
Hornberger, Jody Bishel and Carolyn Potter.

Enter the exhibit from our home page, http://www.npcg.org/home.htm , or go
directly to the exhibit pages starting at
http://www.npcg.org/Gallery/movingforward/movingforward.htm .

We've also got a whole lot of new classes on the web site at
http://www.npcg.org/Activities/classes.htm . Thanks to everybody who
responded to my recent plea for workshop listings! (Although we still don't
have anything from Colorado, New Hampshire or Vermont. Are you guys snowed
in, or what?)

Here's to happy claying & viewing in the New Year!

Margaret,
I love that scene of "Autumn in New York" in this exhibit.  Do you know
if this was made from a cane?  I just wrote to tell Mike Buesseler to
check this out as it reminds me so much of his landscape canes.  All the
work is wonderful...sure wish I could see it in person.  Thanks for
letting us know about it!

Well, Santa brought me a scanner for Christmas, and my dh knows a bit about
computers, so now we have a new (very basic) web page!  Go to Karen's Page
to see  my clay stuff.  I'd love to hear any feed back!

And be sure to click on the images to get a larger (much clearer) view.  But
boo-hoo, I couldn't maximize Jody Bishel's (and one other person's) photo . .
.!

Hi Karen...
I just visited your page and I love your work. ALL of it! Your baby
is so well done...what an awesome "first" sculpture.
The dragon is what I hope mine would look like if I ever made one and
the beads and thimbles are great. Your*** is beautiful too and I
especially like the way you use your colors. They all look so sharp!
It is too bad that you are "tired" of the angel...she is gorgeous! I
sent my daughter to your site and she loved your work. She said the
angel would make a pretty mermaid too!! I can understand about being
tired of a piece of work...I have had an old sea Captain and a
"Victorian Lady" sitting around the perimeters of my work area for over
a year and they are probably as tired of me as I am of them...but who
knows....one of these days, that could change!
Thank you for sharing your wonderful work  and I, for one, am sure
glad you got that scanner for Christmas!!

Happy Claying!
Michele
