Hi Petra,
So sorry about that.  I do keep the chat available on PCC for anyone who wants to use it.  It is
useless unless several will get together and select a time to appear.  It is strickly by chance that
you will just happen by and catch someone there.  I myself, only check it occasionally.  It is a
very nice little chat program that works great.  Maybe it would be a good idea for those involved in
the new "Salt and Pepper" swap to get together and chat.  There seems to be a lot of questions
floating around that could be sounded out and answered immediately.

Hi Petra!  I'd be happy to meet you at the PCC chat this Saturday (Sunday
AM your time).  Hopefully I'll remember!  (Better put a sticky note up
now.)  I wish we could get together a group to talk on a regular basis.  I
know there's a group that meets every Mon. and Wed. night on MIRC.  But I
can never make it there with all the "family stuff" I do in the evenings.
Saturday would be perfect for me.  Anyone else out there want to talk this
Saturday?

Hi Petra,

Sure, I'd like to chat!  At least the next Saturday for me is crammed to the
gills with xmas stuff though--maybe one of the next two saturdays.

It would probably be a good idea to announce a day or so in advance that you'll
be in the chat room (and give the URL), then we can *know* it's going to
happen, put it on our calendar, etc.

I would love to know the details of how one gets to a chat group also.
I've been wanting to try it but Mondays and Wednesdays are impossible for
me.  I come alive on Thursday morning when my work week ends.

All you need to use the PCC chat is a current browser like Netscape or
Internet Explorer.  There's directions there once you're on the site.

Go to <http://www.primenet.com/~athayer/browse.html> and click the "chat"
link on the top left side of the screen.

Hi
someone asked how to access P.C.C. chat or CFC chat
I have alsways been able to access CFC and as far as I know I had nothing
special for it.  My machine was upgraded a couple of weeks ago to become Java
enabled and since then I have been able to connect to PCC chat
Don't know if that helps. I just use this thing MDH does all the
technical stuff.
BTW he's going to see if he can get a copy of MIRC
and connect me up before next week
I'll let you all know asap
TTYAL

Can I come too??

Petra, are you on Summer time or something because my time zone info
says that NZ is 20 hours ahead of US Pacific time and 12 hours ahead of
UK. But your times above say Pacific time is 19 hours difference. So,
assuming that is right:

Sunday 7 am New Zealand
= Saturday 12 noon Pacific Time USA
= Saturday 2 pm Central Time USA
= Saturday 3 pm Eastern Time USA
= Saturday 8 pm UK
= Saturday 10 pm Finland (how about it Porro?)

And anyone else??? I didn't put in all the US zones 'cos you're probably
all clever with that and know what your times are...
Can someone please check this - I'm not too great at sums.

Can we give it a go? International conferencing!

Ah, I am not the only one thinking how confusing this time zone counting
is... I try to make it to our date <grin> but if you dont see me there you
can assume that I either have something more urgent in my life (yes, there
still are few things that top my ***ion to PC ) or that technique did
fail me. I am not exactly sure if my computer is "wise" enough to talking
with you online, but well see.

BTW, I am slowly getting used to use English. Today is the first time I
remember feeling relaxed while using English. This is great, just few
minutes ago a rhyme popped into my poetic head:  Clay on, Klingon !
