Gwen,
Can you tell us what design you are making in this huge cane, or is that a
secret for now?   --Jane

Well I started on super cane and boy am I glad we went out and took time to
mix andcondition more clay or we would have been in a realy hurt and I have
only started on the background cane.   So here are the dimensions. 4 in X
3.5 in X3 inches tall and rectangular--we wanted square but ran out at this
amount and the design couldn't take anything else--and I used an equivalent
of 2 large bars.(some were the 2 oz size but I counted 6 equals one large)
Now I have to reduce this to use it as my background.  At least if I have
too much of this one I have severla designs that I want to use it for so I
actually hope I have lots of it for uniformity in the design series..  I'll
let you all know how much I get when I get it reduced to the desired size
for use in the main cane.

For now it is a secret.  I am getting it ready for a competition and as
soon as I get it done I will share-especially since I am using the
techniques I am writing about. So everyone cross your fingers and if I'm
success fulI will crow so loud that you won't need this thing to hear about
it.
