OT somewhat: "bit the bullet" yesterday

Well, I did it.  I ordered the SC-2 kiln and three blocks of silver clay
yesterday.  Now I'm going to practice the first items I want to make,
with PC.  Just for kicks and giggles, I will put up a little website
showing...whatever.  Sort of a diary or journal, probably of my descent
into madness.  ;o)

One of the reasons I want to do this is that I came across some stuff I
did when I first started with PC, and at the time, I thought they were
pretty hot stuff.  GACK!!!!    Amazing how perceptions protect ego.
What I thought was a wonderful thing makes me want to crawl under the
covers now.  So, just for fun I'm going to make a photo-journal of my
progress.  Maybe even my lack of it.  <grin>

Anyone who wants the URL after I put it up, let me know by e-mail.

Oh, that is SO true!  And true of any medium you work in, I guess...  I
have some drawing that I did years ago, and it's the same thing.  I
wouldn't show those things to *anybody*!  But it is a very useful tool to
let you know how far you have come in advancing your abilities.  Which is a
good thing on those days that nothing you are making comes out *right*, and
you need a "reality check" to remind you that you actually *can* do it!!

And Kelly, I *know* you can do it!!  Remember me for your URL...
