This is being cross posted, sorry about the inconvience.

Here it is finally. I'm REALLY e***d as this will be a first ever event
of it's kind and it's in my neck of the woods. I hope to see you all
there.
Read it through and if you have any more questions I'll try and answer

In September of 1996, the Northwest Polymer Clay Guild is hosting a
week-long national event for polymer clay enthusiasts.  Convergence at
Ravensdale: The Art of Polymer Clay will give the growing clay community
an opportunity to come together in a relaxed and informal setting to take
classes, share ideas and explore polymer clay as an art form.

LAKE RETREAT CAMP:
Ravensdale is held at beautiful Lake Retreat Camp, thirty-five miles from
Seattle in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. All participants stay
in lodges and cabins with shared baths on the shores of Lake Retreat.
There are many recreational activities available including lake swimming,
basketball, volleyball, frisbee, golf, hiking and boating.

SESSION SCHEDULE:
The week at Ravensdale is divided into two,
three-day sessions.  Participants can attend for the full week or just one
session.  
Full Week      9-15 September
1st Session    9-12 September
2nd Session   12-15 September

WHO SHOULD COME:
Anyone interested in learning more about polymer clay!  There is something
for everyone: beginner, intermediate & advanced skill levels, hobbyists,
teachers and professionals!

attending the full week and in working independently under the guidance of
one of the faculty in an intense, challenging environment.

WORKSHOPS AND PRESENTATIONS
Each morning and afternoon class period will include a full schedule of
polymer clay, multimedia, business and marketing classes given by the
studio faculty and by artists and teachers from around the country.

HOE TO REGISTER FOR RAVENSDALE: (form below)
The first step in registering for this landmark event is to return the
attached Registration form with a $25 check or money order made payable to
the Northwest Polymer Clay Guild, (N.W.P.C.G.).

This registration fee is in addition to meals, lodging and class fees and
is non-refundable.

Once you are registered you will be sent the Program Catalog available in
mid-April, 1996. It includes information on lodging and meals, the events
schedule and descriptions of morning studios, workshops, jumpstart and
presentations.  Also included is information about demonstrations, EXPO -
a  showcase exhibition of polymer  art, focus groups, communal work area,
the store, silent auctions and evening lectures.  Each session opens with
a welcome reception.

Summary of Lodging, Meals and Class fees:

Morning Studios    (5 mornings)          $200.00

Presentations      (ninety minutes)      $10.00

Sign-up and payment for lodging, meals and classes begins May 13th, 1996.
We will fill spaces in the order postmarked. Forms received before May
13th will be considered as received on that date. In the event lodging or
classes fill on the first postmark date, participants will be determined
by a lottery process.

SILENT AUCTION:
Pieces donated by the faculty will be auctioned each evening with proceeds
going to help underwrite the Ravensdale Speakers Fund.

CONVERGENCE at RAVENSDALE STORE:
Clay, tools and other supplies specifically for use with polymer clay will
be available. The Store will also display and sell the work of faculty and
participants.

The Northwest Polymer Clay Guild invites you to submit work in polymer
clay. Design Awards will be given for outstanding work in the following
categories:
One of a Kind, Limited Edition, and Production

There is no limit on the number of entries. There is no entry fee.
Attendance at Convergence at Ravensdale is not required to submit work.
Entries are due between August 15th and September 1st, 1996.
To receive the  EXPO entry application fill out and return the attached form.
