Sue Heaser's Book

Post by Sue Hease » Wed, 18 Jun 1997 04:00:00

I have had several cries for help from people who are having trouble
getting hold of my book "Making Polymer Clay Jewellery" in the States. I
understand it is selling out fast in the US. If people are having
problems, they can ring the US publishers direct to order a copy. They
take credit card orders and (I am told) had copies in stock last Friday:

Sterling Publishing, 387 Park Avenue South, New York, NY 10016
Tel: 212 532 7160

Hope this helps, it's amazing how fast the first printing is going - I
understand that a second printing is likely to be fairly early, but that
will obviously take a while to get through the system to the bookstores.

For Boston area netters: As of last Friday Wordsworth in Cambridge had three
copies left on the shelf. (I bought the fourth!)

I made the flower, leaf, and oak leaf stamps from the book. If it weren't for
this book, I would never have made such tiny stamps. Thank you Sue.

My local (60 miles) B.Dalton Bookstore called today to say that my copy
of Sue's book has arrived at the store. (been on order for 5 weeks)
This means that it's into the major distribution systems in the USA so
your local bookseller should be able to order it.  Can't wait to pick it
up tomorrow.

Hi everybody!

Just got my copy sent from http://amazon.com today. (I ordered it weeks
ago and it finally got here!) So, if you can't find it locally in "the
States", order it there!

Sue! Nice job on the book!...I love the metallic powders section...

Enjoy! :+>

I looked for you book last night in my local Barnes and Nobles (a huge
one).....and they were sold out. Your book is really doing well, I'm
very happy for you........but sad for me because I couldn't find it. I
will try again next week.

For those who are having trouble finding Sue's book, you might also want
to try Barnes & Noble Online.  I pre-ordered my copy last month, and got
it on June 13th- and yes, it's FABULOUS!  Lots of fun ideas.

Peg, if you ring Sterling in New York on 212 5327160, you can order by
credit card. They still had some stock left last week but I keep getting
reports that demand generally is way ahead of supply. It's lovely to
know it's going so well, but very frustrating for me that after all the
years of work and delays, that there darned well don't seem to be enough
to go round on the first printing... :*(

It's really weird, sitting here down a Suffolk leafy lane, getting posts
from all over the States as the book makes its way across the US, and
people write such wonderful things to me about it. Thanks, everyone -
and I'm answering the emails as fast as I can! :*D

Sue,

I will phone (ring) the NY #..thanks. I think it's wonderful that your
book is doing so well 1-because you will do well   2-it means you wrote
a good book and 3-it shows how popular polymer has become.  Three great
reasons.

As far as you sitting on a Suffolk leafy lane......I have just one thing
to say......"CAN I COME TO YOUR LEAFY LANE??" (yes, I am shouting). You
can't imagine how incredibly wonderful and cozy that sounds to me.
My Husband and I are looking for a place to vacation (or, as you would
say, "to holiday"). Can we come to your house and play?

Seriously Sue....I do send my congrat's on the success of your book.
Enjoy your success!!

<Grin> thanks for your congrats, Peg - and wow, how about a US
delegation of polyclayers coming to England? People sound pretty keen to
go and find Margaret in Wales too! ;*) (Hi Margaret!)

I've just posted details about the forming of the British Polymer Clay
Guild so, when we have a polyclay convergence over here, perhaps lots of
you will come???? :*D  (Sigh, I know, it costs a lot, but it's a nice
dream...)
