These are adorable.  I didn't even know that that swap was taking
place.  Are there going to be any others with realistic items in
minature?

BTW,

I'm at my Sister's in Mass.  It snowed today!!!  I loved it. Took an
hour's walk in it.  After living in Calif. 25 years.....it was a great
treat.  My sister is recovering wonderfully from her mild heart
attack....I'm so very relieved. Jodi C. please let me know how you're
doing with your experience.
Feel free to write me using her email address.....just put  "for Peggy"
in the subject.
I need to hear from you guys while I'm away from home and miss Bob and
my friends so much.
While here I am attempting to make Judy a heart pendant a la Toops
method.   Showing a remarkable lack of resemblence to any of  Cynthia's
work so far.
Mass folks....please email me.  We can meet here at Judy's for an
impromptu gathering.

Be well everyone,  I'm thinking of you.

Hi Peg,
The reason you didn't hear about Tiny Shoe Swap is that it was hosted by an
AOL'er, it was first posted on AOL, and it filled up immediately.
The folks on the AOL polymer clay swap board usually only open a swap on the
Newsgroup if it fails to fill up on AOL.
Right now I'm in about a dozen swaps on the AOL polymer clay swap board.  Only
one of them went to the newsgroup to get more people, the rest filled up on AOL
just like the shoe swap.

Hi Lynelle
So if you are not an AOL user how can you know about this swaps.  Also,
I think that the AOL subgroup is missing a lot of good participants by
having this exclusive side club.

AOL users could at least notify us outsiders so we could have a
few parallel swaps.  Tiny Shoes sounds like a nice idea.

I think you're right about that Varda. I had the chance to see your faux bead
swap submission... and was THRILLED when you joined in on the *** swap... I
can't wait to see what you come up with!
The aolers don't intentionally subgroup themselves in an exclusive side
group... the swaps just fill up so FAST, they never get a chance to post them
to the internet.. and some don't know how... or even that they can. I started a
wild animal swap, due in the spring... and had so MANY signups right away, that
I started a second group.... which filled up right away too. (Although I did
get it to Arlene by then & have several NG participants, I'm happy to say)
LOLOL!!! I get sidetracked so easily... my point is the aolers are part of the
same wonderful, generous polymer family... and would never intentionally snub
anybody!

Hey Arlene,

Is there any way we could see results at least of these swaps to?!?!?. . . or
you already getting them all sent to you?.  I just love taking a look at all
the different things people do.

Yes, but I read/post to this group because I can do so offline.  It takes too
much online time to go through the AOL posts.  I thank Judi Maddigan for
setting up the AOL archives on her site, but I've been having serious browser
problems and can't always access it.

AOL has just re-done their boards and you can now download them and read and
respond offline.  Check it out!

Oh sure Jeannine... I wasn't saying that everybody on the newsgroup should get
aol too... just that both groups are great!

I hardly think the AOL subgroup is "exclusive" - Anybody can sign up for AOL.
Millions have.  And I don't think anybody on the AOL group considers
thereselves to be "exclusive" either.  The swaps just fill up too fast.  All
sorts of groups and services have Polymer clay swaps - local guilds,
Compuserve, Prodigy, etc.  Are you going to feel snubbed every time somebody
has a swap and doesn't post it to the newsgroup?  Waste of time.
