TLS & Regular clay

TLS & Regular clay

When I bake TLS onto clay my minimum temperature is 275. I've been curing
everything at that temp unless it has translucent clay in it. If I'm using a
thicker layer of TLS or opaque LS I will raise the temp to 300. Having said
that, it's important to know that my oven is dedicated to clay and is out on my
porch so any fumes are not in my house. The clay I use, Premo does just fine at
the higher temp. Each of us has to decide what safety precautions we feel are
necessary. I don't think that the higher temperature is a problem as long as it
is baked in a well ventilated area.
