Hi all, I'm new to this area.  Been working with pc about three years now.
I recognize some of you from the 'aol boards' (Hey, Juli, and CaneJane!)
I've been 'lurking' around trying to read all the old posts.

I'm mainly a 'caner' and a true polymer ***.  Will be trying to keep up
with whats going on here!

Kathy!  Welcome and thanks for UN-lurking <G>!  There's a lot to learn here - I
can't keep up with all the posts.... but I try!!!

...this is the best clay resource around... one truly at "our fingertips!"
LOL!

Hi Kathy,
Welcome to rec crafts!  You'll be amazed at the wealth of information
there is on this board.  Prepare your family for seeing a lot less of you
for a while!

I'm sure I'll miss the ' dip ' , but have LOVED all the good info so far!
I've been taking my time "catching up" on all the old posts.  I'll be more
active here, I'm sure, after I've read them all, and hopefully get to
'know' you all....

Hi Kathy;  I know Cane Jane also.  In fact, I gave her the name, Cane
Jane because we had an Egg Jane on the same board and we had to tell
them apart.  Jane makes wonderful canes, so hense the name.  Lots of
great poly-clay ***s here.  Welcome!

Dotty, That's right...you're the one who renamed me....I'd forgotten who
it was. Unfortunately the name does not always fit since I feel I have
more failures than successes. But I can't imagine ever being called
anything else now. I even get snail mail addressed to Cane Jane Mahneke
and imagine someone at the post office sorting mail feeling sorry for the
person whose family named her Cane!

Hi Jane;  How about Cane and Abel?
I've NEVER seen any of your canes that weren't spectacular.
But then maybe you've been hiding some.  I hide a lot of mine.
I started to take a computer name, but was a bit worried about
the same thing, getting snail-mail, or having people call me by that
name at conferences, etc.  I almost signed in, early on, with my high
school nickname--Shortchange.

I can't tell you how much snail-mail I get addressed to Juli Canebake!  I
actually had to explain that one to my mailman.  Poor guy still doesn't
get it.....

Juli,
I've been calling you Juli Canebake for so long I honestly don't even
remember what your real last name is!  I'm glad your mailman recognizes
this name though because if I write to you I'm not gonna remember any
other name to use!
--Cane Jane...who can hardly remember her own name anymore!

Jane,

Your last name is Mahneke....it says so right next to your Prodigy
sign-on, so that's how I know.  Don't ask me to pronounce it, though. That
"H" in the middle throws me. Is it MAN-a-key, or MAAAAH-na-key, or am I
completely off-base? Perhaps it's man-EH-key?  ma-NEEK? (LOL!!!)

Oh, mine is ...... umm...darn it, I know my own name!  I know it as well
as I know my own....nevermind.   OH, here it is!  McCarthy!!  That's it!
