I saw a brand new polymer clay book at Barnes & Noble today...
by Mary McGuire
Lorenz Books, $14.95
I only flipped through it, but it's basically a project-oriented how-to book
with jewelry, "toys", a hand mirror, boxes, etc... Lots of full color
pictures, lots of overview information, a brief gallery section with some of
the famous in it, etc. At the brief glance I had, I thought most of the
projects were more beginner oriented than not, but a few things used
techniques in an interesting way. All supplies and tools needed are listed
for each project.
Might make a good Christmas present for someone just getting started, but I
don't feel compelled to add it to my own collection.
(Books in Print indicates that Donna Kato will have a new book out inJanuary,
and having seen her things at "R", THAT one I am eager to check out -- her
design sense suits me to a "T"!)
Anyway, thought some of you might want to watch for this and make your own
judgement -- or order it on speculation, perhaps!
