This would be a great gift/craft for my 5-yo and 9-yo granddaughters
to make for Xmas presents.  We'll do it!

Anyone have an idea for 4-yo twins for a craft they could do (and my
house could survive) for Xmas presents?

I always found that plaster of paris hand casts go over well,
and another idea is hand tracings or hand "painting" on a shirt

Have fun-it is so much fun working with pre-school kids

A frequent lurker, but I *love* this ng

I suggest the 4 y/o twins put theirpaint  handprints on a mat & have them
framed.  You could even add a snapshot along side.

The scouts met at our house when I was a girl... we did these in 1970 or
so, and sometimes we wanted a sandy crust around the candle. If you do want
this, just use drier sand. Very dry sand will not let you make a very
detailed shape, but will give you a thick wax & sand crust, with the end
result looking almost "natural."
