I got my HG 1/144 Dendrobium today!!!

One word..... WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The box that you see on the net does not do it justice. It's about 2 PG
grade box glued together with a handle. The box weighs about 25-30lbs!!!!!

Inside, there are 2 boxes. One in blue that says "Container A" and one in
blue that says "Container B" Each box list what is inside the box, and when
put together it forms a picture of the Dendrobium front view in black and
white. The other side it forms a side view.

Container A contains:

A glossy coated 12"x 8" Colour Instruction Book. 32 pages.

5 bags of screws in total of 89 screws!!!!!!!!!
(best of all each bag is number coded so we now know which***to use)

1 bag of 6 springs

1 bag of 3 Metal pieces that will be used in the stand to support this
monster.

13 bags of Runners (19 runners and 1 polycaps) The base is about 7"x11"!

Container B contains:

15 bags of runners (19 runners for the Dendrobium and 7 for the GP03)

1 DVD, Gundam Evolve 4
It's a 6 minute CG video of the GP03 and Dendrobium in action vs. a squad
of Zakus. 8 Bandai Gundam commercials, and a Story Guide line to 0083 and a
Gallery of all the mechs in 0083 with and models Bandai made of that mech.

WOW huh?

And it only cost me $450 Canadian!!

What what I have seen so far, this is prolly the most detailed in a HG
grade Gundam. And man, it's going to take soooooo much paint to airbrush
this baby. The stand alone will take about 1/2 bottle of black.

I will try to take some pics of it and hopefully I can get this kit done
before AnimeNorth in Toronto on May 24 so I can show it off there.

Well I am off to start t*** and preassemble it and see how much sanding
and puttying I will need to do. I estimate it will be about almost 5 feet
long (where in the world am I going to put it??)

Take care

Ben

The Spring seems to be for a button you use to push out the missle pods.

Oh and the metal parts are not for the base but for the bottom section for
the Dendrobium where the boosters are.

Locate a ceiling beam, put a suitably strong screw-eye into it and then
suspend her from the ceiling.

My wife ask if "her" meant your wife, girlfriend, or the kit.  A house pet
like a damn cat won't hurt either.

Got mine a few hours ago.
The box is easy to carry thanks to its solid outer box and a handle.

Evolve4 actually has a story, and it shows that when the right tool (CG)
is handed to the right people, they can pull it off, and I think the
0083 staff executed it well.  There are whole bunch of Evolve4 dvd
available on Yahoo Japan Auction. If the price is right, I recommend to
get one.

=USD280? Not bad, considering the shipping cost by air.  Mine was $130,
but doesn't involve international shipping, obviously.

I'm too lazy. I got Tamiya Spray Can, so that I can paint the entire
model in dark grey real quick.  Then I'll use airbrush to splay the
light grey to simulate the Max painting.  Instead of spending too much
time on painting, I'm seeking for a possibility of installing tons of
lights, so that it would work like a Christmas Tree this year. :)

I'm sure it's gonna be THE eye catcher of the event.  Despite it's size
and price, the model is very easy to build, but make sure you don't
damage the model during the transportation. Good luck.

Not quite that long, more along the lines of a little over 3 feet. But
still pretty damn impressive.

I think previous ones weren't.
For those who can't wait, here's a low res mpg, so that you can take a
peek.
http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~xr2h-fkd/temp/evolve4.mpg
Aside from better CG work, I think the basics of a movie, such as
cutting, framing, composition, etc. are also better than 1, 2 or 3.

   Neato!

You ain't kidding about low-res, though - in a few of the busier
frames some of those gelgoogs just look like MPEG noise.  :)  Are the
DVDs on the auction sites expensive, generally?

I suppose the Dendrobium in action is worth at least the HG
Mechanics version...  but I don't quite get what happened at the end.
Why was the GP03 drifting?

I can make the file size between 950 Meg to 4 meg depending on the
quality. ;) I'm low on my disk space.

Looks like it's a hot selling item, and you might better wait, because I
saw the last Evolve DVDs have gone down by almost half of the peak
price.  Remember, it's only 6 min movie.

And searched by "iborubu4" which gives you more entries.
http://www.FoundCollection.com/%A5%A4%A5%DC%A5%EB%A5...

While the link gets so long, here's the same page through E***
translator.

Obviously "circle" means "Yen", and "time" in this case should be
"hours."

Alternatively searched by "evolve4"

I think the pilot though that the battle was over.
Now, I need HGUC Gelgoog to go with the Dendrobium's craw. :)

Cool... I can't wait, unfortunately for me I had it (dendrobium) shipped SAL
so it will be awhile. Thanks for posting the link, I don't care how small
and low rez it is. It has enticed me even more for the evolve DVD and will
hold me over until it arrives.

What's with the GP-04 diagram at the end? Then it says "Access denied" then
moves on to the drifting shots and close credits. Is this a hint of things
to come?

My god that's some sick animation. Really neat. Too bad it's on low
resolution. Makes me want to buy this monstruosity after all. Btw when
is this clip taken place? Before the Albion pick up? Thanks for
posting it.
