It took me a second. The fact that Heavyarms was hit with three aliased
rasterized thicklines (rather than a yellow plastic subway-tokenny
looking thing) didn't help with the connection either: but if you look
at the thingy Heavyarms picks up, and then at the blue guy, the blue guy has
another one of those in his chest, inside what seems to be some kind of
launcher thing.  So I guess the***is Heavyarms didn't know what hit it, but
figures it out pretty quick, because it's pretty obvious, but the blue guy
just acts dumb and tough and denies it.

To get it right away, you have to know that Depth Charge(from Transformers:
Beast Wars)'s toy shoots yellow discs out of its chest. As this was originally
made for viewing by alt.toys.transformers, it was assumed that people would
know that.

The part that was funny to me was that it seemed to be making fun of the way
that Wing MSiAs' limbs fall off pretty easily. Not as easily as the first MSiA
Gundam, but pretty bad nonetheless.

And here I thought that the yellow disc was supposed to be the Golden Disc that
was so important in the Beast Wars series ^^;;

But my Heavyarms MSiA's arm didn't fall off that easily...then again, mine is
the Hong Kong version, but I think that's not the point...

Yeah, would make more sense with some version of the original MSiA Gundam...Grr
I hate that thing.

Yep. I "accidently" lost mine :) Anyway, am glad they made an excellent
Gundam 2.0. It's joints stay put, so do most newer ones. My Char's Zaku II
[Japanese] legs will not stay on. Anyway know if the US version suffers from
this? I hate the original Gundam MSIA too.

Bandai's sure learned a lot since the first MSIA's.

All my U.S. Zakus keep their legs on.

It's something that randomly afflicts Zaku-IIs and Zaku-Is... but there's
an easy fix: Just heat up the cup-end of the thigh over a stove (don't melt
it!) until it becomes soft. Then squeeze the cup inward a bit with your
fingers, run under cold water to harden. Voila! A much stiffer joint that
will never pop out again! Try it!

I just pictured it as a quick filler sketch on "The Kids on the Hall"
or something... Some ordinary dude is chilling on an ordinary street
corner. The tone of the shot is very somber and quiet aside from some
white noise in the mic. Then WHAM! He gets nailed with a pie. He looks
over with an indicting expression. We pan over to see a very
un-ordinary, colorful clown standing only a few feet away, seemingly
minding his own business. Though guilt is obvious, the clown looks
back and pulls off a great "What?" - as if to say "I don't know WHY
you're looking at ME!"

Nothing to do with the quality of the toy... just a skit IMO.

That's how I saw it... others might see it differently...

Oh, and I think stuff like that IS funny :-).

Reminds me of an episode of Cops (or the like) that I saw, where there were cops on the scene of a
bank robbery, and they arrested a nearby clown, thinking that he had been the perpetrator.

It was quite amusing to see them searching the clown's suit, pulling things like *** fish, ***
chickens, ballon animal balloons, *** squeaky noses, etc...

And, of course, the clown was innocent, and took it in stride.

Still quite funny, though.
