Mr. Color <> Aqueous Hobby Color Cross-Reference

Ever wonder what the equivalent Mr. Color bottle number is for an Aqueous Hobby Color color?

Or visa-versa?

Check this out:

http://www.moschini.org/modelshop/crossreference.asp

This page gives you two lists, each of which lets you cross-reference between Mr. Color and Aqueous Hobby Color, in two tables
that can be navigated seperately.

What do you think?

I think Mr Cross Reference is pretty darn useful.

On the first page, you have gloss red C003 twice, once against Flat
red.  I am assuming that is a typo.

Do you plan to include other paints?  It would be cool to know what Mr
Color I would need to replace a certain Model Master shade, for
example.

No, it's not - the Mr. Color Gloss Red C003 has cross-references to the Hobby Color Semi-Gloss and Flat Reds, as I do not believe
there is a Gloss Red in Hobby Color.

Most of the paints in Hobby Color seem to be Semi-Gloss instead of Gloss.

Perhaps - depends on what data I can find on other paints.

The Gunze ones were easy - the catalog has cross-reference numbers for most of the paints, in both lines.

Do you plan on carrying the Mr. Hobby paints? I think there'd be a
little easier to get than the Mr. Color. Granted, I still prefer the Mr.
Color, but I've used both.

If there's enough call for them, I'll carry the Aqueous Hobby Color paints, either in place of, or in addition to Mr. Color.

You might be interested to know - I placed my next large order of Mr. Color the other day, and it's already ready to ship.

1200 bottles, ~60 colors, many in 18-24 count quantities for the major colors.

Now all it's waiting on is, well, the ship itself. ;-)

Figure another week to wait for the ship, 2 weeks on the sea, another 1-2 weeks from California to New Hampshire, and it should be
in hand.

I expect it to be in by mid to late February.

I *MAY* have to raise my prices of Mr. Color slightly, by at most 11 cents, but I haven't quite made that decision yet.

So you got a shipping arrangement?  Was that guy any help?

Oh yes, he's been very helpful so far. :)

What he gave me was a fixed price per bottle for delivery to my door, using a "fast boat" from Hong Kong to California, and then
land freight across the country.

The price was only a few cents per bottle higher than what I paid previously, though that is with a 1000-bottle minimum, which I
can deal with.
