Delft China Plates - Information Needed

Delft China Plates - Information Needed

Post by Perry Mixt » Thu, 08 Jan 1998 04:00:00

I have inherited two rather old identical Delft China plates - dating I
think from the 17th or 18th century. They are about 15" in diameter.

The Plates may be viewed at
http://www.oca.appstate.edu/perry/0123delft.html, and that page includes
detail shots of the front and back of the plates.

I need information on the following.

1. Are there any web sites that have information on Delft China?
2. Where would be the best (and least expensive) place to have these
appraised? Christies in NY wants a minimum of $500 just to look at them.
3. Is there any other information on the internet that would help be
either assess their value or put me in touch with anyone interested in
purchasing them?

subscribe to this list.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone may have.
