Bible published in 1828

Periodically I go thru 2nd hand stores and thrift shops looking for
items to add to my collection of cast iron banks. Yesterday I was in
one of the thrift stores and noticed a Bible in the showcase. Looking
at it, it shows a published date of 1828.
Not knowing anything about book collecting, or book collectors, I don't
know if their asking price was too high, or too low. This Bible's size
is approx 2ft high and 1 ft wide, and is approx 2 1/2" thick. The body
is all in-tact but both the front and back covers have broken away from
the back. Aside from that, the covers are in good shape; all of the
pages are still bound and in good shape too. The pages show the slight
aged color but are not otherwise torn or damaged. There are many
illustrated pages in this one.

Can someone suggest for me whether this Bible, in this condition, would
have value to a collector ? The store is asking $ 125. Thank you for
your assistance !

The first thing I would ask is who published it, where was it published,
how are the illustrations done (lithographs? etchings? hand drawings?),
Is it in English?  Condition is everything, but book dealers would
probably start with the above questions.

I am interested in purchasing bibles published prior to 1800.  English
language preferred.
